Signs have gone up in our church community wildlife garden to caution people to be careful of baby frogs.
St John's church members attended the Brighton Deanery confirmation service to support Richard Tingley, one of our newer church members.
Rev'd Emma welcomed Rev’d Nancy Maina, the Warden at St Nicholas Children’s Centre in ACK Nakuru Kenya, who is on a two-week tour of the Diocese at the invitation of The Friends of Nicholas UK, a charity raising funds in the diocese to support the vital work at the centre.
St John’s welcomed members of the Chichester Diocesan Mothers’ Union for their Spring Gathering in this special 150th anniversary year.
St John’s is celebrating after being awarded a £2,000 grant from the Diocese of Chichester’s Mission Fund (Small Grants). The Mission Fund supports local churches across the diocese as they explore new ways of engaging in mission and building community through practical, creative projects.
A half day gathering that weaves together a Racial Justice presentation, heartfelt reflection, open dialogue, uplifting music, shared stories, community networking, and the launch of the new diocesan Racial Justice Toolkit - plus generous hospitality with food from different traditions.
St John's is delighted to share the news of its recent Silver Eco Church award from A Rocha UK, recognising the church’s ongoing commitment to caring for God’s creation.
