Richard Tingley has been baptised and confirmed at a joyful Brighton Deanery confirmation service held at St Andrew’s CofE Church, Moulsecoomb, Brighton.

Richard was one of 28 people confirmed at the service, which brought together candidates of all ages from churches across the Brighton Deanery. The service was led by Bishop Will, who confirmed everyone and also conducted the two baptisms.
Richard described the occasion as “very special” and spoke of the joy of being able to share in Holy Communion in his church. He said: “The elation I feel about being able to take communion is incredible. I am very grateful to Emma and to all the other people that I was in the confirmation classes with. It was very good. We used the inspiring faith resource, and it was excellent, so easy to use and to understand in a bite-sized way. I’m so grateful to now be able to take communion in my church.”
The service was a celebration of faith, belonging and new beginnings, shared with friends, family and congregations from across the deanery. You can watch a video of Richard talking about the night here
